Juanita Arias is a School Director and educator with extensive experience whose career spans primary, lower secondary, and upper secondary education. Throughout her professional career, she has taught a wide variety of subjects, including Language and Literature, Mathematics, Primary Science, Social Studies, Chemistry, and Comparative Religions. This breadth of experience has strengthened her firm belief that education must empower, enlighten, and open doors for every student.
Federico Wolhfeiler is an experienced educational leader focused on strategic planning and the development of innovative teaching and learning resources. He is actively involved in the International Baccalaureate (IB) as an IBEN member, workshop leader, senior examiner, and contributor in Theory of Knowledge (TOK) and Global Politics.
Federico also takes part in IB evaluation visits to schools around the world, gaining valuable insights into diverse educational contexts and best practices. He values collaboration and the exchange of ideas, and believes that continuous learning and shared experiences are essential to building strong, future-focused school leadership.
Dawn McLeod is a Canadian educator with more than 20 years of experience in international schools. Throughout her career, she has lived and worked in Colombia, Mexico, the United States, and Panama, which has been her home for the past 16 years.
Dawn has taught at both primary and secondary levels and has held various leadership roles, including Science Coordinator, PYP Coordinator, and Principal in primary and secondary schools. Her mission as an educator is to support students in becoming the best version of themselves, while also guiding teachers to excel in their practice. She is passionate about creating learning environments where both students and educators can fully thrive.
Aquelmi Altamiranda is a Panamanian educator from the city of Colón. At the age of 12, she moved to New York, where she completed her secondary education and spent part of her adult life. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Hunter College.
Seventeen years ago, she returned to Panama and since then has dedicated her career to education, contributing more than 20 years of teaching experience. Working with young children is both her profession and her greatest passion.
She currently serves as an Early Years Math and Language Coach, supporting teachers through intentional, play-based, and developmentally appropriate practices. In addition, she is a PYP Learning Experiences Leader, designing learning experiences aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) that foster inquiry, agency, and the holistic development of students. She firmly believes that high-quality early childhood education is the foundation for success throughout life.
Samantha Gronchi
Safeguarding Lead
Samanta is a psychology professional dedicated to the wellbeing and safety of students. She holds a degree in Psychology from Universidad Católica Santa María La Antigua and a master’s degree in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
Samanta served as School Counselor at Boston School from 2019 to 2023, supporting students’ social-emotional development, and she is currently working as a College Counselor, a position she has held since 2023. As Safeguarding Lead, she is responsible for ensuring that all safeguarding policies, procedures, and measures are effectively implemented and maintained throughout the school. Her work is grounded in prevention, care, and a strong commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment where every student is protected and valued.
