Boston School International Becomes an Official NEASC Candidate School

A significant milestone in our commitment to educational excellence.

02-07-2026

At Boston School International, we believe that excellence is achieved through continuous learning, reflection, and growth. Today, we are proud to share an important milestone in our journey: Boston School International has officially been accepted as a Candidate School by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

This achievement marks the successful completion of our Preparatory Visit and confirms our readiness to continue through the internationally recognized NEASC accreditation process.

More importantly, it reflects our commitment to providing every student with an exceptional educational experience built on continuous improvement and internationally recognized standards.

What is NEASC?

The New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) is one of the world's most respected accrediting organizations, supporting schools across more than 90 countries.

Unlike a one-time certification, NEASC accreditation is an ongoing process that encourages schools to reflect, innovate, and continuously improve every aspect of teaching, learning, leadership, and school culture.

For families, it provides confidence that a school is committed to maintaining high standards while preparing students for success in an ever-changing world.

A Meaningful Milestone

During the Preparatory Visit, an experienced team of international educators spent time getting to know our school community.

They visited classrooms, observed learning, met with students, teachers, school leaders, and members of our community, while reviewing our progress toward the NEASC Foundation Standards and our alignment with the ACE Learning Principles.

Following this visit, NEASC confirmed that Boston School International is ready to move forward as an official Candidate School an important recognition of the work already accomplished and the strong foundation we continue to build.

The visiting team also acknowledged our school's collaborative culture, the commitment of our faculty, and the leadership guiding our continued growth.

What Does This Mean for Our Families?

For our students and families, becoming a NEASC Candidate School represents much more than an accreditation milestone.
It means belonging to a school that is committed to:

  • Delivering an education aligned with internationally recognized standards.
  • Continuously improving teaching and learning experiences.
  • Strengthening the systems that support every student's success.
  • Building trust through transparency, reflection, and accountability.
  • Preparing students with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed for a global future.
  • Every decision made throughout this process is centered on one goal: creating the best possible learning experience for every child.

Looking Ahead

As part of the accreditation journey, Boston School International now begins the Internal Reflection phase.
During this stage, our entire school community including leadership, faculty, and staff will work together to evaluate our practices, celebrate our strengths, and identify opportunities for continued growth.

This collaborative process will prepare us for the External Review Visit, scheduled for Fall 2028, bringing us one step closer to achieving full NEASC accreditation.

Growing Together

The NEASC accreditation journey reflects who we are as a school: a community that believes learning never stops.
We are incredibly grateful to our students, families, faculty, and staff whose dedication, collaboration, and commitment made this milestone possible.

As we continue moving forward, we remain focused on providing an inspiring, innovative, and internationally minded education that empowers every student to thrive.

Together, we are building a stronger future—one of excellence, innovation, and continuous growth.
