Welcome to the Personal, Social and Physical Education Class!

WELCOME TO THE PSPE CLASS from PK3 to 4th grade and 7th grade!

The aim of the Personal, Social and Physical Education is to provide students with the concepts, knowledge, understanding, and skills to maintain physical health throughout their lives. Our intention is to enhance appreciation of the importance of physical well-being and that it's intrinsucally linked to all aspects of a student's experience at school and beyond. It encompasses physical, emotional, cognitive, spiritual and social health and development, and also contributes to an understanding of self, to developing and maintaining relationships with others, and to participation in an active, healthy lifestyle.

In Boston School International, physical education is more than just student participation in sports and games. Its purpose is to be to develop a combination of transferable skills promoting physical, intellectual, emotional and social growth; to encourage present and future choices that contribute to long-term healthy living; and to understand the cultural significance of physical activities for individuals and communities. We also implement agency so students have the power to take meaningful and intentional actions in their learning.

Throughout all grades, our main focus is to help students flourish and progress in the important aspects of their physical development:
  • Coordination
  • Flexibility
  • Endurance
  • Speed
  • Strength
