Hello everyone!
My name is Samanta Gronchi and I'm the School's Psychologist at Boston School International. Thank you for visiting my page.
I was born and raised in Panama and my passion is working with children and teenagers to help them succeed academically, socially, behaviorally and emotionally.
I studied my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology here in Panama, at Universidad Santa Maria la Antigua (USMA), where I also received a certification in Neuropsychology, as my graduation work. I then moved to Barcelona for two years, where I attended the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB), where I received my Master's Degree in Paidopsychiatry and Child and Adolescence Psychology. That experience was an eye-opener for me and it helped me grow personally and professionally. I also received a certification in Recognizing and Responding to Suicide Risk
Working with children and their families, it's one of my greatest pleasures and has proven to be a really rewarding career
I look forward working with you throughout the year!
A school's psychologist support every students' ability to learn and every teachers' ability to teach. We also partner with the families, the teachers, and the whole staff, to create a healthy, safe, and supportive learning environment that can build up the connection between home and school. We provide direct support and interventions to students, through knowledge in educational psychology, child development, mental health, and academic and behavioral remedials.
All children and teenagers can face a variety of problems from time to time related to any aspect of their lives: learning, social relationships, decision making, and/or emotional management. My work is to help them understand and resolve these issues, by giving them the tools they need to ensure they thrive in school, at home, and most importantly, in life
My work at Boston School International is to:
- Promote Mental Health
- Remedial Education
- Psychological Assessments and External Referrals
- Individual and Group Counseling
- Support Language Learners
- Create a Safe and Positive Environment
